Barre is a ballet-inspired fitness class that combines strength, balance, coordination, and endurance into a fun and challenging full-body workout.
At MOVE., our Barre classes are designed to get you moving, elevate your heart rate, challenge your coordination, and leave you feeling stronger, more energised, and more connected to your body.
Led by Katy, an experienced Reformer Pilates and Barre instructor with a lifelong passion for ballet and dance, these classes blend movement, music, and expert coaching to create an enjoyable and effective workout for all abilities.
What is Barre?
Barre takes inspiration from ballet training, Pilates, and functional movement to create a unique style of exercise that develops strength, control, balance, and endurance.
Using a combination of mat-based exercises and movements performed at the barre, classes challenge the whole body while remaining accessible to a wide range of abilities.
Expect muscles to work hard, your heart rate to rise, and your concentration to be tested along the way.
No dance experience is required.

Katy combines a lifelong passion for ballet and dance with extensive experience teaching movement.
Alongside her work as a Reformer Pilates and Barre instructor, she has a background in dance teaching and choreography, bringing energy, creativity, and attention to detail into every class.
Her supportive coaching style helps participants feel comfortable regardless of experience, while her love of movement makes every session engaging and enjoyable.
