Strength & Conditioning Classes in Shrewsbury Build Strength for Life
Strength & Conditioning Classes in Shrewsbury Build Strength for Life
At MOVE., we believe movement has the power to change lives.
People come to us from many different starting points. Some are recovering from injury. Some want to improve sporting performance. Others simply want to stay active, independent, and confident in their bodies as they get older.
Wherever you’re starting from, our goal is the same: to help you build the strength, resilience, and confidence needed to do more of what matters to you.
Our Strength & Conditioning classes are designed to help you move better, become stronger, and unlock greater capacity in your body. Led by Sports Therapist and elite-level Judo competitor Gwen, these sessions combine expert coaching with practical, effective training in a supportive small-group environment.
Why Strength Training?
Strength training isn’t just about lifting weights.
It’s about building the physical capacity to live life on your terms.
Whether that’s carrying your children, exploring the hills, returning from injury, competing in sport, or maintaining your independence as you age, strength gives you more options and greater confidence in your body.
Research consistently shows that strength training can improve:
- Muscle strength and endurance
- Balance and stability
- Bone health
- Confidence and wellbeing
- Athletic performance
- Injury resilience
- Long-term health and independence
Small Group Coaching
Our Strength & Conditioning classes are limited to just six participants.
This allows Gwen to provide individual coaching, ensure exercises are performed safely, and adapt movements where needed.
Unlike large fitness classes, you’ll receive the guidance, encouragement, and attention needed to progress confidently, regardless of your experience level.
Whether you’re stepping into a gym environment for the first time or have trained for years, you’ll feel supported throughout.
What To Expect

- Stability

- Confidence
Using a combination of free weights, resistance training, bodyweight exercises, and functional movement patterns, we’ll help you build a stronger, more capable body. The goal isn’t to leave you exhausted.
The goal is to help you become stronger week by week, month by month, and year by year.
At MOVE., we often talk about helping people move from pain to potential. Strength training is one of the most effective ways to continue that journey, building the resilience, capability, and confidence needed for long-term health and performance.
