Chiropractic is a profession which specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of conditions which effect the joints, muscles, and nerves of the body.
Chiropractic is a diverse and dynamic health profession that puts the patients needs first. We use a range of treatment and rehabilitation techniques to help patients with a variety of conditions and goals. Care can be broken into 3 main phases and depending on why you come to us, we will start in a different phase to accommodate:
1. Pain relief: this is where many of our patients start. We begin by working to get you moving again. This might be relieving a minor niggle that has been bothering you for a long time or treating a severe flare up of pain. This needs to be achieved before moving onto the next phase of care.
2. Functional Correction: this is where we progress to when patients start to feel better. Our program changes, becoming less about treating specific painful areas and zooms out, focussing more on how you MOVE and how this might be contributing to your symptoms.
3. Being 1% better: this is the final stage of care and the place we hope all of our patients get to! We work with you on an on-going basis to try and keep you operating at your best. From performing at the world championship, being pain-free at the office, or playing with the grandkids we work with you towards your long term goals.
You can book online either for an examination appointment or a telephone Chiro-chat to discuss your options!

Recent Review:
"I was originally put in touch with Charlie as a referral to sort a shoulder injury and he was the nicest, most straight talking guy for my consultation. He was really informative and constructive with his treatment plan and fixed me up in a handful of sessions! ..."

Firstly, thank you for considering us to help you with your health or performance goals!
To get started, you can book your first visit online or via email. You will be sent a new patient form via email which we will need you to fill out before your first visit. This is important as it will help us gather important information about your current condition and health status, as well as your goals for treatment. The information you provide coupled with the questions asked in the consultation will give us a clear picture of how we can help you.
Please note: We take the £30 fee for this appointment in advance if you pay online. If you are unsure then please book a Chiro-chat to discuss your problem and we will see if we are a good fit for you.
We will start by discussing the problem or concern that has caused you to book in the first place. We will assess your posture and movement, and conduct appropriate tests on your joints, muscles, and nerves.
Following this examination your chiropractor will have a discussion with you about treatment options, prognosis (how likely you are to recover), and likely timescales for your recovery. Further, you clinician will discuss risks and side effects which are possible with your care. You will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout your assessment. We can also help make appropriate referrals if necessary to fully diagnose your condition.
At this point we can either start treatment or look for other options better suited to you. This appointment will last between 45-60 minutes depending on whether or not we start treatment.
Your treatment plan will be bespoke to you. It will likely consist of approximately 4-10 treatments over a period of time depending on several factors including: what/where the problem is, how it started, how long you’ve had the problem, your lifestyle, daily activities, etc.
Each treatment plan consists of the care you receive in the practice, home exercise, and lifestyle advice to help manage your condition short and long-term.
Treatments typically start weekly and space out as you improve. We book treatments on a 15 minute diary, but sometimes they last a little shorter or longer depending on your individual needs.
We all need on-going support sometimes. We encourage all of our patients to maintain a healthy body through diet and exercise, proper sleep, hydration, and mindset. We also encourage many of our patients to receive on-going chiropractic care, massage, or pilates to help manage the aches/pains associated with leading an active life to get the most out of their hobbies or sports.
Supportive care can take many forms; from regular treatments to having an exercise regime which you follow. The bottom line is we are here to help and support you going forward to maintain your health and function as best you can.
